Petrobras and Shell have completed a 4D seabed nodal exploration trial at the presalt fields of Brazil’s Santos Basin. Long-duration subsea dynamic geophones deployed at a depth of 2,000 m can operate stably on the seabed for up to 5 years, collecting real-time reservoir dynamic data through autonomous underwater vehicles. Accelerated deepwater hydrocarbon development drives rapidly rising market demand for marine seismic equipment and long-term subsea monitoring sensors.
